What inspired you to start your fashion label?
Since I finished my training in fashion design, launch my own label has been always my dream. I have had the opportunity to be working with different fashion designers and brands in cities as Seville, Madrid, Florence or London. Although during these experiences I was happy working within the industry I belong, I was not 100%, so I took the risk to start my business and make my ideas become truth.
Who is behind your fashion label?
Cristina Sánchez Saco Founder and Creative Designer of "La ragazza a pois".
How many team members do you have right now on board?
Well...the label is very young, only 5 months...we are a very small team that probably will grow very soon...we normally work with different companies and professionals subcontracted by us to carry out the projects we need.
What is the process behind creating new fashion designs and how long does it take?
A long time!
What is your vision for your fashion label?
Our short-term vision is improve each day, taking care of each step, detail...sharing the world of "la ragazza a pois" to everyone who wants to be part of and enjoy it.
What are your customers' most favourite collections?
We have only shown to our customers the first collection SS16 "Smile", however just with this first we have noticed a great support and we can not be more happy with the impact and all the positive feedbacks.
What is your personal favourite collection?
How did you discover a need for this type of product in the marketplace?
As a fashion lover, I value have a trendy garment which cannot be seen easily. This involves design, pattern, prints, easy wear and exclusivity.
What has been the most challenging aspect of getting your brand off the ground and how did you overcome that?
I live in Brighton, UK but some of the works are made in Spain where I am from, Cádiz. To me this is the most difficult or stressful part, have to organize/schedule works, coordinate people from distance, and travel from one place to the other.
What are two aspects of business in which you believe a new brand should invest resources?
Firstly in the product. Quality of the materials, production and details guarantee good branding and allow you earn the confidence of your customers. Marketing, social media and label promotion is very important looking for expansion. Finance and administration is vital to success.
What are the services that consumers can take advantage of from your company?
Handmade, unique prints design and fresh trendy garments.
Any pieces of advice for young entrepreneurs who want to open similar labels like yours?
I would encourage everyone who has a project to believe in themselves and work hard on it. It does not matter what difficulties you will find on your way. Always fight, be strong to achieve your targets. Sometimes you can feel down because the goals are not coming up when you wish, but you have to be patient because suddenly, one day, the dreams can come true.
How do our readers buy your products? Do you ship internationally?
Via our website, we ship worldwide.
Do you collaborate with fashion bloggers? How do you collaborate with them?
Yes we collaborate. When the fashion blogger has one of our products, she posts one outfit blogspot including brand's clothing pieces into her style, then she shares the blogspot on all her social media (always including a direct link to our brand's website). Since we started we have been contacted by a large number of fashion bloggers, we are very happy about this. We would like to do a collaboration with every single one but unfortunately not always is possible right now.
